Author Helga Fritzsche has written several animal care books including those on hamsters, bantam roosters and the increasing popular pet rabbits. "Rabbits, A Complete Pet Owner's Manual" is an older printed book designed to educate on rabbit ownership for those who want a rabbit as a pet. As the author points out from the beginning, a pet rabbit has more needs than basic shelter, pet food, water and an "occasional carrot". Through her book, she guides new owners away from making mistakes when acquiring a rabbit as a pet.
