Fur Loss in Rabbits - Causes and Treatments

The loss of hair in rabbits can be from natural causes such as molting or a doe preparing her nest for kindling. Some rabbits pull each other's fur out to show dominance.

More importantly are the causes of hair loss from illness and disease. Usually fur loss that is associated with an illness includes other symptoms other than the loss of fur. The most common illnesses connected with fur loss include fur mites, fleas, ringworm, infections, and wounds.
